Bag Pillow Friday

Where the heck is time going??  Wow.  July 12 already!  Made this bag yesterday.  It's growing on me. I really love the size of it and am considering using it for a camera bag.  It's super sturdy.  Made from upholstery fabric that is interfaced and appliqued with leather scraps and leftover shower curtain for the main flower!  The lining is a home dec fabric I picked up on clearance at the fabric shop.  I also put feet protectors on the bottom for setting it down when not in use.  This took me all day yesterday.  I was in a weird funk and the flower didn't turn out the way I had pictured in my mind.  One of those days.  It is cute.  See, it's growing on me :)

Look at these zippers!  They came from either my grandmas sewing stash or my aunts mothers sewing stash.  I inherited a ton of cool 'vintage' sewing supplies.  I really like to incorporate these items when making stuff for our home or for my family.  It keeps it personal and leaves us with fond memories.

I used the longer black one in this pillow for our family room.  Love how the guitar looks on the couch.  Think I will be making a few more music themed pillows to go with.  Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
